French Green Clay - Medicinal clay
Healing Clay - Medical Miracle?
Is this so-called so called 'medical clay' the real deal and does it work? That's a good question. It appears as though each time a new remedy comes into fashion, it quickly finds it's way onto the commercial market place. Naturally, it's been used in older cultures for centuries, but does it really do what people say that it's capable of? Without a doubt, we should understand that we should not just believe everything that we're told by the very people who are selling us something - it's only good sense.
It's a sad reality, but for the most part true. Another thing is that any claims made for healing clay should ideally direct us to some research or serious study, to substantiate and support the claims. For instance, one web site I came across was explaining quite seriously how a clay poultice can cure a skin melanoma. This is just dangerous - as far as we know, no one has yet cured cancer with anything. Having said all that, the evidence for very beneficial effects for all kinds of human ailments is powerful
Medical clay seems to hold some incredible secrets and it appears that a lot of it's properties are not known yet. These properties will be researched, I'm sure, in the future as people are turning more and more to natural ways for healing their bodies and maintaining general health without putting chemicals into their organisms. Someone once said that the answers to all of our health problems and sicknesses exist in the natural resources of the planet - they were most likely referring to the Amazon rain forest, but what about the secrets of clay?
Scientists can supply us with logical facts to explain why healing clay has such a beneficial effect on our health, but that may not be all there is to it. Sadly, some people commercializing medicinal clay and other natural products pander to our natural attraction towards the mysterious and subtly imply that some substances have magical or mystical properties. It is not properly understood how medical clay is able to heal, but the list of it's positive characteristics is impressive.
Clay has been used for wiping out toxins, killing bacteria, reducing pain, helping with alcoholism, treating the skin and totally curing some digestive problems. For countless centuries this natural material has been bombarded with sunlight radiation and the magnetic field of the Earth - no one really knows what effects this combination has on the substance in relation to a living organism.
French Green Clay
Authentic French green clay (known as argile verte in the French language) isn't produce only in France, but can also be found in some other countries like the USA and China. It just so happens that the French people have used this kind of clay for healing for such a long time now long, that the name stuck. In it's basic form, the volcanic residue or ash that makes up the clay is tinted with the remains of decayed plant matter.
French green clay is very fine, creates a cloying mud when added to water and shows really interesting properties. Firstly, when wet, the molecules become charged electrically and attract molecules of other materials towards them. This characteristic is used to help ease some physical ailments and is also used extensively to tighten and beautify the skin.
Bee, Where Is Thy Sting? Super-Clay Is Here!
Also For Stings And Tummy Upsets!
This wonderful clay can ease swellings after bites and stings, and reduce pain from muscle strain or other physical trauma. It's not to hard to understand how healing clay can pull out sting poisons because of the nature of it's molecular properties, but healing swellings isn't properly understood. Some scientists postulate that it could be due to the earth's magnetic field and the way that it interacts with the natural magnetism of our own bodies.
Yet another way of using clay is internally, when it is mixed with water in a very diluted form. It helps to calm an upset stomach and reduce the discomfort of other ailments. It's quite probable that other minerals inherent in French green clay have a beneficial impact when taken in this way. Naturally, present day methods of production ensure that clay sold for taking orally is of the very highest quality and is certified safe for consumption.
Face Pack or Poultice Anyone?
The green face packs we so often see contain French green clay. The clay pulls impurities (and moisture unfortunately) from the skin, and so cleanses it deeply. It shouldn't be done too frequently, as the natural oils in the skin that help to moisturize it can become depleted, which can cause itchiness. Actually, this drawing action is quite powerful and will pull out splinters , thorns and even shards of metal.
When used externally in this way, a paste made out of hot clay (not too hot) and spread generously over the area that needs treating. The entire area is then secured with a bandage, to enable it to breathe, and should be kept in place overnight. The following morning, the clay will probably be dry and will have cracked, but the job will have been done!. French Green Clay is simple to clean off, and the will easily wash away leaving nice healthy skin.
Aztec Red Clay
Aztec Health Clay comes from Death Valley, AZ, where it is baked by extreme daily temperatures of up to 134°F. Red healing clay has been employed by ancient civilizations the world over for an amazingly diverse variety of reasons, perhaps mostly as a beauty treatment for the face and neck.. The drawing characteristics of this wondrous material are legendary and it is used extensively for face masks.
Maybe you are aware of some of its properties, but Aztec Red Clay has still got a few secrets. For instance, it has been used as detoxificant for people recovering from alcoholism and as a treatment radiation. Clay is well known promoting health in every living creature, plant or animal. Montmorillonite, Pascalite, Bentonite and other kinds of clays have a long history in man's war with sickness.
Fights Cholera and Helps At Chernobyl!
It's extraction characteristics have not only been used to heal and rejuvenate the skin, but can also absorb toxins from the internal organs when taken internally. It's is effective in treating a large number of internal problems, like parasites, allergies, food poisoning and colitis. It soaks up radioactivity and has been used to treat cholera patients in the Balkan war (1910). The list just gets longer and longer, and is much more extensive than for any chemical based medicine. A remedy that has been in use for more than 40 thousand years probably has some merit.
The American Indians refer to it as "Ee-Wah-Kee" which translates as Mud-That-Heals, and they understood it's powers of healing when smeared onto to wounds and injuries sustained during their harsh lives on the prairie. One of it's least known and interesting characteristics is the ability to absorb radioactivity, and this is the reason it was used copiously in helping to clean up the nuclear mess at Chernobyl nuclear power station. The molecules in clay have a negative charge electrically and nuclear fallout particles are positively charged - the clay molecules hold and neutralize the radioactive molecules.
A Cheap Alternative To Medicines
Aztec Red Clay has been used for hundreds of years to destroy germs and this every day material can eliminate drug resistant mutations that are presently causing problems for doctors. It's effective for treating salmonella and E.Coli, and might be a very cost effective alternative therapy when compared to modern medical techniques. What a wonderful opportunity for reducing disease in poorer countries in this way. It's quite strange that this amazing natural material that has been used to enhance human health for centuries is now called 'alternative' by doctors who are themselves newcomers to the healing world.
